Susan Warren and John Sierra formed the Food Revolution and FRESHH (environmental) clubs at Freedom High School back around 2008-2009. Together, we started making plans for a school garden that would feature native plants/ecosystems of California while promoting organic agriculture for healthy, sustainable lives. Our principal and superintendent gave us their approval to use a 6,000 sqft area in the back of the school – do develop to our hearts’ content. It has been a slow process – creating a design, raising funds, finding materials, collecting plants and putting everything together. This is a learning process in so many ways, and it will continue to develop/transform for years to come. We welcome any support – especially from those who are willing to get a little dirty. Join Us!
